More information about Hopferla
Following on from the success of their first collaboration Imperial IPA, the successful brewers from Weiherer and Fat Head's Brewery are launching their second blockbuster in December 2017 Hopferla is the second IPA in the collaboration brew and another highlight in the brewers' range
Contrary to what the Franconian-inspired name Hopferla suggests, the beer is brewed in the style of a West Coast IPA and impresses with seven different hop varieties The hop bomb with a proud 7.5 is amber in color and delights with a stable, fine head The hops do their job and give the beer a veritable cornucopia of fruity aromas Tropical fruits mingle with tangy citrus notes, Tart grapefruit completes the line-up To counteract the fruity exuberance, the hop bitterness kicks into action and balances sweetness and tartness perfectly A pleasant carbon dioxide content supports the taste and the 7.5% alcohol gives the West Coast IPA that little bit extra
We think that the second collaboration between the Kundmüller brewery and the Americans from Fat Head's Brewery definitely continues the success story of the Imperial IPA We are also excited to see what ideas and creations the three friends will come up with next! Another IPA, a new Rauchbock or something completely different? We're already fans!
