This rye whisky, with its tones of caramel and vanilla typical of bourbon casks, impresses with a light, slightly minty freshness. The re-aging of the cask ensures balance and a moderate influence of oak even after 6 years of storage.

The fact that our distillery primarily uses regionally grown rye for our whiskies and grain brandies has been standard practice for us from the very beginning, out of conviction. However, the use of a cask from the "Old Forester" distillery in Louisville, Kentucky, was an exception to this rule, which came about with the purchase of this impressive cask. This little side-step in terms of storage has definitely paid off and the resulting whisky has won over many of our customers.

Isarnhoe distillery
We are a small distillery in Altenhof, which specializes in the production of rye whiskey and other grain specialties. Our single-variety apple liqueurs are real specialties and only available seasonally. Aquavit, gin and rum are also among our products. We develop and produce everything ourselves!
