More information about KYKAO West Coast IPA
With red ales aged for years, barleywines finished in wine barrels and imperial stouts enhanced with fiery chilies, cocoa nibs and coffee beans, a simple West Coast IPA sounds almost plain, but don't be fooled: The brewers at Greek brewery Kykao apply the same sophistication and artistry to each of their creations Their magic is in every brew, whether it's very complicated and unconventional or not
Inspired by the India Pale Ales of the American West Coast, Kykao has created a series of fine West Coast IPAs Each new beer is based on the previous one and is a little rounder, more drinkable and more successful than its predecessor The team is now quite proud of the result: Their cold-hopped West Coast IPA is made with Talus, Citra, Sabro and Cashmere varieties and is filled to the brim with fruity fruit notes and floral hops The brew has a whopping 90 bittering units and balances this rugged character trait with a soothing abundance of fruit The trained palate tastes peach, melon, tangerine, coconut, mango and candied fruit, which balance the bitterness beautifully The full 7.0% alcohol content gives the beer stability and a cozy warmth
West coast is west coast, as this West Coast IPA from the western coast of Greece proves
