If you're looking for the perfect refreshment on a hot summer's day or a sweet reminder of warmer times, we recommend Lucky Jack. The American Pale Ale from Lervig may come from Norway and not the Maldives, but it is still incredibly refreshing and wonderfully summery. Tangy citrus notes and a whole load of tropical fruit conjure up summer in a can and a good mood on your face.
Lucky Jack flows into the glass in a cloudy orange hue and is topped with a small amount of airy, white foam. A seductively fresh aroma of pink grapefruit, steamy hay, tropical fruit and soft caramel rises from the fine head. The first sip reveals a medium body with a tangy, extremely lively carbonic acid that makes the aromas dance in the mouth. Lemon, mandarin, grapefruit, orange and lime celebrate a wild citrus party on the tongue, while the malt forms a caramel base. A great bouquet of floral and fruity hop notes builds up and brings with it a clean, crisp bitterness. The taste of a tropical fruit cocktail caresses the palate.
Lucky Jack impresses with a perfect balance between hops, sweetness and malt. The APA is extremely drinkable and is a lot of fun, and not just on hot summer days.
