This Seleccionada has an intense ruby red color and a wonderful aroma of ripe wild berries, raspberries, plums, pine and raisins. The hint of coconut and vanilla indicates the 6 months of maturation in American barriques. The palate is round and soft, with a very elegant, long finish.
This cuvée of 3 grape varieties from Cantanhede is being bottled for the first time and is intended above all to give the rough and sometimes somewhat rustic grape variety more suppleness and harmony. This has been achieved perfectly.

Adega Cantanhede
The Cantanhede Cooperative, created in 1954 by about 100 winegrowers, is located in the center of the town of the same name. Today, it consists of 1400 members with a total cultivated area of 1200 hectares around Cantanhede, forming the largest vineyard area in the Bairrada region. The motto of the cooperative is "Vinhos com Carácter" - Wines with Character. It has special abilities to produce wines with distinctive and convincing character. This is mainly due to the native Baga grape, which finds excellent growing conditions here. This modern cooperative is export-oriented and very successful internationally.
