My monument is your monument
Monument Gin - Pinot Gris Infused Gin was created through a passion for gin and a love of the Palatinate and Nahe wine regions. A straightforward gin, rounded off with a fresh orange and a fine vanilla note.
The taste differs from the smell in that the high juniper content comes to the fore together with a fine spiciness. The oranges and Pinot Gris coat the exquisite taste and provide the final kick.
The gin is produced in small batches. We use a 120 liter distillery for production in order to guarantee quality on the one hand and individuality on the other.
The Pinot Gris: Only one of the best Pinot Gris from the Nahe wine region was considered for our Monument Gin. This was previously rested in a barrique barrel. This gives the Monument Gin a slight vanilla note without being overpowering.
History:
The idea of creating our own gin was born back in 2010. As a gin fan and collector myself, the intention was always to produce a gin with a local connection. It therefore quickly became clear that the upcoming gin should have a fine wine note. This idea was finally tackled in 2018 and developed to market maturity in 2019. Due to my deep roots in the Palatinate (I was born in Lautr) and the Nahe wine-growing region (where I now live), the choice quickly fell on a grape variety that should find its way into the gin - Pinot Gris.

I have been a lover and collector of gin for decades and am deeply rooted in the wine regions of Pfalz and Nahe. For this reason, the idea was born years ago to create a gin that should be straightforward and at the same time reflect the wine regions with a floral note. With a year of planning, numerous tastings and setbacks, I have now created a Small Batch Gin that will inspire you. MONUMENT Gin - Small Batch & Handcrafted Gin. The naming: MONUMENT owes its name to the music group Röyksopp. The duo released the EP "Do It Again" in 2014. The 1st track is Monument, which was recorded together with singer Robyn. Especially the passage "I can say I did it all with love" is my leitmotif for this gin.
