More information about Muratie Ansela van de Caab 2018 Magnum
The characterful and complex Muratie Ansela van de Caab Magnum is now also available in a large bottle - and is even more impressive with its concentrated fruit notes such as blackcurrants. A light herbal note and spicy, smoky aromas of olives and sandalwood give the cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon (59%), Merlot (27%), Cabernet Franc (9%) and Petit Verdot (5%) its complexity. With a long-lasting taste, this rich red wine lingers velvety soft on the palate thanks to well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity. The full-bodied cuvée matures for 30 months in French oak and is an excellent accompaniment to game, dark meat or spicy dishes. But the Muratie Ansela van de Caab is also a delight on its own. Incidentally, its namesake was a strong woman: Ansela was born a slave girl, fell in love with Laurens Campher and was only able to live in freedom with her husband and their children on Muratie many years later.
