Cocoa-based beverage powder —a bittersweet blend with 75% aromatic cocoa, with no added sugar, but sweetened with carob and its natural sweetness.
The cocoa is heavily de-oiled, containing 10–12% cocoa butter, and is sourced from various cocoa varieties worldwide. It is natural/raw, meaning it is not alkalized.

A note for all cocoa lovers:
We’re currently optimizing the recipes for all our drink powders—and for good reason: The global cocoa situation presents us with challenges, but we’re making the best of it and enhancing the flavor of our products. As a first step, we’re adjusting the recipe for our Caffeine-Free Cocoas: they now contain carob—a natural ingredient that not only gives the drink a milder, rounder flavor but also offers valuable health benefits.
Carob—a valuable addition to cocoa: ✔ Natural indulgence—naturally sweet, but with no added sugar. ✔ Rich in fiber and minerals. ✔ Wild-grown in Europe—our carob grows in natural agroforestry systems within the EU, giving the cocoa not only a touch of Mediterranean local flavor but also sustainable enjoyment with a short transport route.
Why do we use rice flour? Rice flour is a natural, organic alternative to conventional emulsifiers. After the raw ingredients are sifted and mixed, it prevents them from clumping again. Additionally, the rice flour smooths out the extreme peaks in the flavors of individual ingredients, ensuring a harmonious taste experience.
Preparation in 200 ml: Stir 1–2 tsp / 8 g of cocoa powder into a little hot liquid, then top up with water and (plant-based) milk to taste. Let it steep for 1 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Or just like Grandma used to make it: gently simmer the cocoa powder with a little water for 1–3 minutes, then add milk and bring to a boil again. This makes the flavor more intense and the mixture more filling, but it does take a bit more effort.
