More information about Ott Ladara Bockbier
Bock is not just bock, as the Ott brewery proves with its Ladara bock beer The sophisticated strong beer was not simply brewed with hops, malt, water and yeast and then bottled, it was first aged on oak wood For this step, wood was chosen in which the finest bourbon previously matured and which provides a lot of aroma for the brew The bock is served from October and is only brewed once a year So when the stock is drunk, you have to wait until the next year
The wood-aged delicacy presents itself in a shimmering golden fawn color in the glass and adorns itself with a white head that evaporates quite quickly An olfactory symphony of dried dark fruits, toffee and oven-fresh bread rises to the nose and combines with a hint of bourbon The first taste follows the first impression and shines with classic bock beer aromas of creamy caramel, candied fruit, bread crust, chocolate and brown sugar The wood maturation adds spicy notes of leather, wood, vanilla and bourbon as well as a gently smoky component to the balanced interplay of aromas A mild roasted bitterness skillfully rounds off the spectrum
Anyone looking for a special bock beer with a cornucopia of complex aromas should give this one a chance!
