More information about Paserene The Shiner White 2018
Paserene The Shiner flows into the glass in a vivacious green. Intense aromas of tropical fruits, especially pineapple and melon, pamper the connoisseur's senses. On the palate, floral tones, caramel notes and a crisp acidity are noticeable, giving the white wine cuvée made from Sauvignon Blanc (83%) and Sémillon Gris (17%) a wonderful finish. You should definitely enjoy Paserene The Shiner on its own, but the white wine also goes wonderfully with light dishes with poultry or fish. There is a story behind the white wine: when winemaker Martin Smith created the wine, he didn't have enough money to put paper labels on the bottles, so he sprayed the label on the bottle. In the USA, a wine without a label is called a "shiner "œ - which is how Paserene The Shiner got its name. But there is a second meaning: a shiner also refers to a black eye after a punch, which is why a boxer is depicted on the bottle.
