More information about Pisco MalPaso Pedro Jimenez

The Pisco MalPaso Pedro Jimenez is in Chilean grape brandy from Pedro Jimenez grapes, which brings the sweet, raisin-like, sweet-fruity characteristics of this grape variety to the fore.

The grapes are harvested very late (comparable with "Auslese") and very elaborately and gently pressed to a strong wine, which is distilled to Pisco only after several months of storage on the fine yeast. It is then aged for another 6 months in steel tanks in the absence of air, to achieve a soft mouthfeel when drinking, but without altering the pure flavor of the Pedro Jimenez grapes.

Perfect for a Pisco tonic, or for those who like their Pisco Sour a little fruitier and sweeter (without using more sugar).

By the 1940s, the area under cultivation had expanded to 100 hectares, and the white wine now produced by his son was enjoying great popularity nationwide. Since at least 1937, the company also distilled its own pisco in smaller quantities. The farm, which is now run by the fourth generation of the family and in which the fifth generation is already working diligently, now cultivates over 700 hectares. There, not only grapes for the own Pisco production are cultivated, but also table grapes and citrus fruits, as well as grapes for other Pisco producers. The best vines...
