Die Pharmazie-Ingenieurin Cornelia Bohn, die in Sachsen-Anhalt geboren wurde und ihre Kindheit in Schwedt, der größten Stadt der Uckermark, verbrachte, entwickelte frühzeitig eine Vorliebe für Whisky. Während der DDR-Ära hatte sie jedoch nur begrenzte Möglichkeiten, ihrer Leidenschaft nachzugehen. Dies änderte sich schlagartig mit der Öffnung der Berliner Mauer am 9. November 1989, als Cornelia Bohn ihr 100 D-Mark Begrüßungsgeld in Scotch investierte. Doch das Leben hat mehr zu bieten als nur Whisky. Nachfolgend begann sie ein Studium der Pharmazie, verliebte sich in einen Mann und wurde schließlich Mutter einer gemeinsamen Tochter.
