Schlitzer distillery

The history of the Schlitz Distillery dates back to 1585, when Eustach Graf von Schlitz brewed beer and distilled grain in Sandlofs. And today - 432 years later - this tradition is still upheld. Managing director Tobias Wiedelbach and his team of master distiller, master distiller and many other competent employees still produce the finest brandies in the village. Although the headquarters and owners have changed at times - the quality is still the same outstanding. For many items, the distillery falls back on centuries-old, proven recipes.

The Schlitzer Distillery uses only selected fruits and herbs from master hands with experience and passion to spirits of the highest quality and purity. For this reason, the company has been awarded the title of "Top Ten Company" by the DLG (German Agricultural Society) and for the past twenty years has received the "Prize of the Best" in gold. The noble fruit brandies, fruit juice liqueurs, herbal liqueurs, the famous Burgenkümmel and the oak barrel-aged Schlitzer Korn enjoy great popularity far beyond the borders of our region.
