More information about Schoppe Bräu Holy Shit Ale
Holy Shit Ale is the big brother of XPA - Kreuzberg Pale Ale and the little nephew of Holy Shit Endboss Ale.
Now that you know the entire family tree of this beer, we do not want to deprive you of the key data on the Holy Shit Ale. This fine Double IPA hails from Berlin's Schoppe Brewery and is brewed with three hop varieties - Magnum, Chinook and Cascade. Pilsner, wheat and melanoid malt are added to the hoppy trinity. The result is a 10.0% strong top ferment that pops. What pops are the bittering units, which are a juicy 100 IBU. Sounds fabulous!
Tastes like it, too. Before you can taste it, however, the ultimate IPA presents itself in a bright amber hue with a gorgeous copper sheen in the glass. A stately crown of thick, lightly tinted foam sits enthroned atop the beer, and it smells the part. Strong malt, caramel roasted aromas, fresh hops and ripe stone fruits meet a hint of citrus and entice the first sip. That reveals a voluminous body packed with flavors. The sweetness of apricots, juicy oranges and limes combine with a soft caramel malt base. The hops add notes of fresh-cut herbs, blooming summer meadow and tangy citrus to the IPA. In addition, the hops contribute the clean bitterness that runs like a thread through the beer's enjoyment.
An absolute dream IPA!

Schoppe brew
Fancy names have become part of the standard ABC of the modern craft beer brewer. And hey, it's legitimate to have your illustrious range represented by a unique name. At some point, the inspired brewer had had enough of large-scale brewing and turned to his craft roots and the original art of brewing. Kettle instead of computer was the motto that ultimately led to Thorsten starting his own thing. Since then, the humorous motto "hops, malt, and muscle grease" has applied, perfectly describing the small-scale...
