Sparkling wine, sparkling wine & prosecco: sparkling discoveries from small wineries

Sparkling wine is more than just a sparkling drink for weddings, birthdays and the like. It is an expression of joie de vivre, craftsmanship and the diversity that can be found in Europe's best wine regions. We have deliberately decided against the usual mass-produced goods from supermarkets and large wineries. Instead, as a marketplace, we bring together selected small wineries that produce exceptional sparkling wines with passion and dedication. Each bottle in our range tells its own story and stands for authentic enjoyment far removed from industrial production.

Why small wineries make the difference

The difference between a sparkling wine from the supermarket shelf and a sparkling wine from a small, family-run winery is huge. While large sparkling wine cellars account for over 80 percent of German sparkling wine production and focus on quantity and efficiency, our winegrowers concentrate on the essentials: Quality, terroir and craftsmanship. For them, quality begins in the vineyard, where every grape is cultivated with care. The base wines, which are later refined into sparkling wine, come from the best vineyards and are treated with the same attention as the estate's top wines.

Our winegrowers know their vines, their soils and the microclimate of their vineyards inside out. This closeness to nature and decades of experience are reflected in every glass. Here, production is not done according to a formula F, but each vintage is looked after individually. The result is sparkling wines with character, depth and an authenticity that you can taste.

Traditional bottle fermentation: craftsmanship instead of mass production

The method of production makes all the difference. While large industrial wineries often rely on the tank fermentation method to produce large quantities quickly, our winemakers swear by traditional bottle fermentation, the méthode champenoise. In this complex process, the sparkling wine matures for months, sometimes even years, directly in the bottle on the yeast. This process cannot be accelerated and requires patience, skill and a lot of manual work.

The result of this dedication is impressive: the carbon dioxide is more finely integrated, the perlage dances more elegantly in the glass and the aromas are more complex and multi-layered. You can taste the time the winemaker has given the sparkling wine and the care with which it has been produced. Every sip reveals new nuances, from delicate yeast notes to fruity accents and mineral facets that reflect the terroir.

Variety that inspires: from Riesling to rosé

The variety of our sparkling wines is impressive. You will find bone-dry Brut Nature sparkling wines with less than three grams of residual sugar per liter. They are puristic, mineral and incredibly precise in taste. Or discover the elegance of a Riesling sparkling wine from the Palatinate or the Rheingau, which impresses with its characteristic acidity and notes of green apple, peach and citrus fruit. Riesling is the supreme discipline of German sparkling wines and is in no way inferior to a good champagne.

For lovers of fruity aromas, we offer rosé sparkling wines made from Pinot Noir or other red grape varieties. They impress with their vibrant color and aromas of strawberries, raspberries and cherries. Perfect for summery moments or as an aperitif. You will also find Blanc de Blancs made from pure Chardonnay in our range: elegant, fine-sparkling and with a hint of nuts and butter, reminiscent of great French examples.

In addition to classic sparkling wine, we also stock Prosecco from small Italian wineries and Crémant from France. All from winegrowers who work with the same philosophy as our German partners: small, fine and with heart and soul.

Honest & Rare: Your marketplace for honest delights

As a marketplace, we have a mission: to bring you into direct contact with the best small wineries. No anonymous mass-produced goods, no interchangeable products from industrial production. Instead, you will only find sparkling wines from winegrowers we know personally and whose work we appreciate. Every bottle is a "rare" discovery: rare, special and honestly produced.

We believe that transparency and authenticity are the basis for real enjoyment. That's why we not only tell you what's in the glass, but also who made it and where it comes from. With every purchase, you directly support the winegrowers who work with passion and commitment and help to ensure that artisanal quality will continue to have a chance in the future.

The perfect companion for every occasion

A well-chilled sparkling wine is the ideal start to a special evening. As an aperitif, it whets the appetite and sets the mood for the menu to come. But the versatility of our sparkling wines goes far beyond this. A dry Riesling sparkling wine harmonizes wonderfully with seafood, oysters or sushi. The fresh acidity underlines the fine aromas without masking them. A rosé sparkling wine goes perfectly with light starters, salads or antipasti, while a stronger Blanc de Blancs also cuts an excellent figure with creamy pasta dishes or white meat.

And of course, sparkling wine is a must for any festive occasion, whether it's a wedding, birthday, New Year or simply because life wants to be celebrated. With our sparkling wines from small wineries, you are guaranteed to stand out from the crowd and surprise your guests with real taste sensations.
