She is a goddess of the Andes, mother of the earth and time, fertility symbol and moon goddess. Pachamama is also attributed with protective powers with which she watches over the processes of planting, growing and harvesting. And as if these extraordinary attributes weren't enough, the Hamburg-based brewery ÜberQuell has gone one better and turned Pachamama into the ultimate beer speciality.
Pachamama from ÜberQuell is a Coffee Lager that was created in cooperation with the Neue Rösterei from Lübeck. The beer professionals enlisted the help of coffee experts to crown their brew with excellent beans. Emerald hops meet cold-brewed coffee from hand-selected, Bolivian coffee beans of the Reynaldo Avircata Loa River variety. The result is an incomparably smooth, almost creamy lager with rich texture and even more flavor!
Pachamama flows into the glass the color of liquid copper and wears a crown of firm, lightly tinted foam on its head. On the nose, the goddess initially presents itself as emphatically malty: sweet roasted aromas meet golden grain and delicately creamy caramel. A hint of fruit and an unmistakable coffee note round out the olfactory pleasure and tempt the first sip. The first sip confirms the first impression brilliantly: full-bodied, luxurious notes of fine bitter chocolate and freshly brewed coffee caress the palate. The taste of toffee, roasted malt and chocolate raisins skilfully complete the interplay of aromas.
Pachamama is an exceedingly luxurious lager that scores with a broad palette of full-bodied flavor nuances.
