More information about Jrön
Sticke is a specialty from Uerige: the classic Altbier is brewed twice a year and is characterized by a little extra hops, malt and alcohol The brew got its special name from an old expression When people used to tell each other something behind closed doors, they called it "stickum" When the master brewer was particularly generous with his raw materials in October and January, word got around quickly Because everyone wanted to secure some of the special brew, of course, the secret was only revealed to their best friends and dearest relatives
For some years now, there has been a tradition that has already spread: Together with the creative brewery Kehrwieder, Uerige makes a special version of its Sticke every year for the hop harvest The brew is called Jrön and is brewed with freshly harvested hop cones The team travels to Hersbruck especially for this occasion, to pluck the ripe cones directly from the plant or at least pick them directly from the harvesting machine Equipped with the freshest hops, they then return to the brewery to produce the exquisite green hop sticke without any detours The still juicy green gold gives the mahogany-colored beer a wonderful spiciness and makes the autumn sticke a special delicacy
