More information about Vermouth Soberbo
POCAS has revived an old recipe from over 50 years ago. The vermouth is made from white port wine and white still wine flavored with artemesia and 10 other botanicals. It was then matured for 6 months in old port wine barrels, which gives this sweet vermouth a very special note and an aroma of dried fruit, prunes and tobacco. The botanicals come exclusively from our own vineyards and no caramel or caramelized sugar is added.

Pocas is one of the last port houses owned by the family since its foundation. The old warehouses are located in Vila Nova de Gaia, the vineyards near Regua and Pintao. High-quality port wines of all styles are produced, as well as table wines full of character, which find optimal conditions on the steep terraces of the Douro Valley.
