The Vilafonté Seriously Old Dirt presents itself in a deep ruby red. The Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated cuvée seduces with delicate floral notes that blend harmoniously with an intense fruit composition of red and black berries. Aromas of blackcurrant, black plum, dark cherry and raspberry unfold vividly in the glass. Spicy accents of cinnamon and fine clove give the wine additional depth and complexity.
The attack on the palate is gentle, followed by a luxurious, silky texture. The concentrated notes of black fruit and dark chocolate merge into an expressive taste experience. The balanced structure gives the wine a pleasant fullness, while the spicy component lingers on the finish.
Fine, velvety tannins and a fresh acidity round off the enjoyment experience perfectly. The cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon (94%), Malbec (3%), Merlot (2%) and Cabernet Franc (1%) matured for eighteen months in French oak and is an excellent companion for special occasions or to enjoy with friends.
