More information about Braurausch
Braurausch is a beer that symbolizes the path of traditional family breweries into the future: The latest generation of the Wagner and Eichhorn breweries have decided to collaborate despite local competition, setting a palatable example of cooperation and friendship among brewers. The two young master brewers met shortly before attending master brewery school and then went through the final years of their training together. Tobias and Alexander became friends and decided to brew a joint master brew at the end of school. Due to high demand, the limited edition became an entire label: Braurausch.
The foundation stone for the successful collaboration was laid by the cellar beer of the same name. Braurausch is based on a classic Franconian Kellerbier, which Alexander and Tobias have put their own stamp on. Three different types of grain give the beer a strong color and a stable malt base, while the hops provide that little something extra: the beer was cold-hopped at the end of the brewing process.
Braurausch flows into the glass in a shiny fox-red copper hue and carries a stately crown of creamy foam on its naturally cloudy body. A composition of attractive aromas rises to the nose and entices with notes of dark malt, toffee and fruit. The aftertaste follows on the heels. The cellar beer is a symphony of caramel, spicy grain, floral hops, herbal notes and subtle hints of orange and mandarin.
