More information about Warwick Professor Black Sauvignon Blanc 2022
The Warwick Professor Black Sauvignon Blanc delights white wine fans from the first moment with its complex bouquet, which combines aromas of elderflower with fruity notes of peach, lime and green figs. A nice herbal note successfully rounds off the first impression. Over time, more nuances of lemon blossom and freshly cut grass unfold. Powerful and well balanced, the Warwick Professor Black Sauvignon Blanc shows itself on the palate. Here, the nuances of lime, fig and herbs are again found and are accompanied by a nice texture and a long-lasting acidity. The name of the Warwick Professor Black Sauvignon Blanc recalls a scientist from the University of Stellenbosch who tested the first plantings of a peach variety on Warwick. Later, vines were planted on the site instead of peach trees. The first Sauvignon Blanc that resulted is said to have had a strong peach aroma. Enjoy the white wine either neat or with grilled salmon with a spicy pasta salad.
