More information about Waterford Estate The Jem 2017
With this vintage, Waterford Estate The Jem once again proves why it is the estate's best wine: beautiful fruity notes are surrounded by vanilla, violets, cloves and herbs and lend the bouquet a wonderful complexity. Velvety tannins caress the palate of the full-bodied cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Shiraz (23%), Merlot (7%), Mourvèdre (6%), Sangiovese (5%), Cabernet Franc (4%), Petit Verdot (3%) and Barbera (2%), which impresses with its harmonious balance and elegance. Waterford Estate The Jem matures for twenty months in French oak and is the ideal companion for enjoyable moments. Incidentally, the name of the red wine goes back to the nickname "Jem" of Waterford's owner Jeremy Ord.
