Zythos Humulus Electus - Lager

Braumeisteredition number 41 was created by the talented master brewers Götz Steinl and Anton Schwarz. The two have come up with a finely hopped lager and given it a venerable name: Zythos Humulus Electus is the name of the work and if we venture a rough interpretation, it probably means something like "Traditional beer made from selected hops" Zythos is an ancestor of today's beer that comes from ancient Egypt Humulus is the Latin term for hops and the word Electus stands for something that has been chosen with care

Götz and Anton have chosen the varieties Herkules, Hallertauer Tradition, Nugget, Hersbrucker, Saphir and Select for their extraordinary lager and blended them into an aroma-intensive brew.
