More information about a fränkisch
A Fränkisch, or "a Franconian" in German, is the beer that brought Schübel Bräu international fame more than ten years ago But one thing at a time
The Schübel brewery in Stadtsteinach is a family business from the Kulmbach area After the brewery was passed down from a whole series of parents to their children, Jürgen Münch and his wife Andrea Schübel-Münch are now the fifth generation at the helm - and the sixth is already waiting: Son Mario has already completed his training as a maltster and brewer and daughter Lea-Sofia is already hard at work In 2010, just in time for Franconian Day on July 2, the brewery released A Franconian The wonderful Kellerbier not only delighted the people of Stadtsteinach, but also the judges of the European Beer Star Just two years after its release, the Franconian classic won a bronze medal and international recognition in the prestigious competition
The traditional brew brings a mild 4.9% alcohol content to the table and is made with select ingredients from regional farmers In the glass, the delicacy appears in a shimmering copper chestnut brown, an ivory-colored head sits enthroned on the delicately cloudy body Aroma and taste are composed of notes of fresh bread dough, sun-ripened grain, yeasty spice and a hint of caramel
