More information about Alto Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

The Alto Cabernet Sauvignon flows into the glass in a dark red and impresses with its wonderful fragrance, which combines aromas of dark and red fruits. Nuances of cherries, cassis and plums pamper the connoisseur's senses, surrounded by a light fynbos note. This rich red wine, which has matured for eighteen months in French oak, is also extremely complex and elegant on the palate. Enjoy the refined Alto Cabernet Sauvignon on its own, but it is also an excellent accompaniment to spicy or dark meat dishes.

ALTO Wine Estate

Alto is a farm with a rich history that lives up to its status as one of the most iconic wineries in the Western Cape Winelands. The first title deeds date back to 1693, but it was not until 1919 that the farm was fully dedicated to viticulture. Alto stretches along the steep northern slopes of the Helderberg and for nearly a century has built a reputation as one of the most respected red wine producers in South Africa.
