More information about Ayinger Bräuweisse
The Ayinger private brewery in the Bavarian town of Aying is a traditional brewery that has been family-owned for six generations. Since 1878, it has been brewing traditional, down-to-earth beers that have met with great enthusiasm on the beer scene. Bräuweisse, for example, has already earned numerous awards and is just one of the award-winning beers in the Ayinger brewery's range.
The top-fermented, pale wheat beer has an alcohol content of 5.1% and delights its fans with hoppy, fruity aromas and a wonderfully sparkling carbonic acid that is reminiscent of fine sparkling wines. Due to its refreshing qualities, Ayinger Bräuweisse is the perfect companion on hot summer days and tastes particularly good after a sweaty hike or a full day at work.
But this excellent wheat beer also tastes good at other times.
The Bräuweisse flows into the glass in the sun-yellow golden hue of harvesting ears of grain and forms a stately, white head. The full-bodied aroma of ripe bananas, so typical of wheat beers, emerges from the fine-pored, piled-up fluff. The first sip presents a full-bodied taste, which nevertheless appears light and fresh thanks to the sparkling carbon dioxide. Bräuweisse has a wonderfully velvety mouthfeel and tastes wonderfully spicy of banana, clove and cereal malt. A subtle hop bitterness complements the fresh, fruity taste. The finish has tangy citrus notes that definitely leave you wanting more.
