Since 1812, Woodford Bourbon has been produced at the smallest and oldest distillery in picturesque Woodford County. A place where ancestral knowledge and great attention to detail create unique spirits. Its exceptional aroma ranges from strong notes of dark fruits and caramel to smoky oak notes and a very long finish with lingering sweetness.
Our Bavaricus - Cask Aged Dry Gin: Woodford Double Oak Edition, with its gentle barrel aging, combines the extravagant flavors of the internationally award-winning Bavaricus with the elegant notes of Woodford Bourbon: citrus, elderflower, golden kiwi and hop blossom meet bold fruit notes, caramel and a subtle smoky end note.
A barrel-aged gin, distinctive in flavor and certainly anything but ordinary!
Production
For our Bavaricus - Munich Dry Gin we used a specially adjusted recipe before we decanted it after distillation into the specially made for us Woodford Double Oak Bourbon barrel.
It was stored there for several months at a constant temperature and with regular turning of the bourbon barrel. Gently the two different characters (gin and bourbon barrel) could unite with each other.
The result: the Bavaricus - Cask Aged Dry Gin: Woodford Double Oak Edition.

Bavaricus - Cask Aged Dry Gin: Woodford Double Oak Edition is best enjoyed neat (room temperature!) If you like, you can also mix it as a gin and tonic with an iced Thomas Henry Tonic Water and a fresh kiwi slice as a garnish.
