More information about Vertigo
Juicy, funky, smooth!
According to the Schwarze Rose brewery, these are the three words that best describe the character of their Vertigo IPA The New England IPA is one of two beers in the hopefully still growing range of the young Schwarze Rose label from Mainz
Beers must not only quench thirst, but also generate a pleasurable experience This is the opinion of the three Simons behind Schwarze Rose and they have created a concept from it without further ado Their beers should be deep, complex brews that are fun, challenging and simply taste delicious With their West Coast IPA Brewtiful, they have already succeeded in doing this perfectly, now with Vertigo another great beer follows
The Vertigo IPA presents itself in a strong, naturally cloudy sunny yellow and forms a stately white head The aroma that rises from the fine-pored fluff can best be described as the essence of summer If you close your eyes, images of blooming summer meadows immediately come to mind, of open-air swimming pools full of noisy, boisterous children, of ripe cornfields with red poppies and blue cornflowers and bright sunshine The three aromatic hop varieties Citra, Callista and Enigma provide a fruity, fresh bouquet and give the beer a wonderfully elegant hop bitterness
Vertigo is an experience of a beer and captures the summer perfectly So if you feel like a moment of summer in the middle of the gray, gloomy weather, instead of going to the solarium, just drink a cool Vertigo
Our beer sommelier Marco liebig has tasted Vertigo and is impressed by its stunning fruitiness, but read for yourself:
After pouring, we are greeted by a light orange, naturally cloudy beer with a fine head in the glass
The nose is tropical with papaya, mango, pineapple, pomelo, blackberry, spicy and grassy
The first sip is tangy, very full-bodied and creamy with a slight sweetness The grapefruit and slightly unripe pineapple are more the flavor carriers here
The aftertaste is characterized by a subtle bitterness with a long-lasting fruity finish
Marco's conclusion:
A beer with lots of sweet aromatic hops The fruitiness is unparalleled and will delight anyone who likes very hoppy beers
