Blacks Ops - Blended Extra Char Cask Irish Whiskey is a special blended whiskey from Ireland. This outstanding Irish whiskey is carefully blended from malt and grain whiskey. The individual whiskeys first matured in ex-bourbon and sherry casks. After blending, a further maturation in extra heavily charred oak barrels followed in order to obtain a particularly soft and dark whiskey. As is customary at the Blacks Distillery, the whiskey is not chill-filtered. As the distillery's own distillate has only been flowing from the stills in Kinsale since 2020, bought-in whiskeys were used as the raw material for this blend.

We live the dream since 2013! Born out of passion by husband and wife team Sam & Maudeline Black. What started as a hobby after Sam received a home brew kit as a Valentine's Day gift from Maudeline many years ago, quickly became an obsession and a burning desire to experiment and create. It is this enthusiasm and drive that made Blacks Brewery a reality. Our mission is to escape the mundane of the mass market by producing beers with passion, personality and lots of hops! We have a seven strong core lineup, but are constantly creating new recipes and whimsical flavor combinations, releasing between 6 and 10 experimental beers per year. In 2015, we expanded and added our state-of-the-art distillery, where we produce a range of boutique spirits including gin, rum and whiskey.
