Beer or wine? Kuehn Kunz Rosen's creation braunett takes this decision out of your hands: The Mainz-based brewery has teamed up with friend and winemaker Kai Schätzel from the Schätzel winery to create a fusion of beer and wine The fine white grapes from Nierstein on the Rhine are mashed and fermented together with the beer mash The result is a delicately cloudy beer with wonderfully elegant notes
Braunett flows into the glass in a delicately cloudy light gold and is crowned by an airy, white foam Tangy aromas of white grapes, notes of light malt, fine hops and a subtle citrus note emerge from the fluffy foam The first sip reveals a light-footed beer with a fine carbonation The tingling carbon dioxide dances on the tongue and gives the beer a wonderful freshness An elegant interplay of aromas unfolds on the palate: Crisp green apple starts things off and is accompanied by sweet and sour citrus notes The malt forms a subtly caramelly base The grapes add a fresh elegance reminiscent of light summer wines The salt contained in the beer gives it a special kick: it gives the beer that little something extra and balances sweetness and acidity wonderfully
The light, dry and sparkling beer is perfect as an aperitif for a Mediterranean menu With its subtle flavors, it prepares the palate perfectly for the culinary delights to follow and is also a highlight that leaves you wanting more
