More information about Gutmann Hefeweizen
Hefeweizen is the Gutmann brewery's specialty. Accordingly, the brewers from the Altmühltal are masters of the trade: their range of the finest wheat beers includes a selection of excellent beers, all of which belong to the wheat category, but differ in the composition of their ingredients and in terms of alcohol content. In addition to the classic Hefeweizen, there is also a dark and a non-alcoholic wheat beer.
Wheat wonderland!
The classic wheat is fermented in open fermentation and consists of hand-picked ingredients from the region. A generous amount of the brewery's own yeast is added for extra flavor. The wheat beer flows into the glass in a cloudy golden hue and is topped with a generous amount of firm, white foam. The unmistakable wheat aroma of banana, spicy yeast and subtle clove mingles with a hint of hops on the nose and makes you look forward to the first sip. This reveals a medium body and a subtly composed palette of delicious flavor nuances. The aroma of a cool banana milkshake washes over the palate and combines with strong yeast, subtle clove, refreshing lemon and sweet malt to create an irresistible blend. A subtle bitterness complements the interplay of aromas.
