More information about Heinzlein Helles non-alcoholic
A delicious attic find
Master brewer Matthias Trum is a true Bamberg legend He is the boss of Hellerbräu, which brews the most famous of all Bamberg beers Schlenkerla is a Bamberg institution and is drunk all over the world But Matthias Trum is not resting on the laurels of his ancestors Quite the opposite: The resourceful brewer regularly trawls the archives in search of old treasures He has already struck gold more than once His latest discovery is a recipe based on an ancient brewing process Bamberg Heinzlein is a low-alcohol beer that tastes wonderfully intensely of hops thanks to a special brewing technique
The roots of Heinzlein lie in a time when it was much safer to drink beer than to drink water, which was often dangerously polluted The almost alcohol-free Heinzlein quenched the thirst of the working population and was also served to children We would advise against this today, but for everyone else, Heinzlein is a perfect alternative to more alcoholic beers
Helle Heinzlein is brewed with an extra portion of the good Spalter aroma hops and is unfiltered The Urbamberger presents itself in a naturally cloudy golden hue in the glass, an airy crown of white foam sits enthroned on the beer The first sip reveals a light-footed beer with a wonderfully rounded aroma: soft malt, roasted grain and bread crust meet a hoppy bouquet of freshly mown grass, tangy lemon, spicy yeast and a subtle floral note
Light or dark - we love the Heinzlein!
