Non-alcoholic cellar beer

Just because you give up alcohol doesn't mean you have to give up beer At least that's the opinion of the resourceful brewers at the Rittmayer brewery in Hallerndorf, Franconia Like many other breweries, the Rittmayer team has decided to create a beer for everyone who doesn't drink alcohol

There are now many non-alcoholic beers and, unlike in the past, these beers are just as tasty and artfully brewed as their alcoholic counterparts However, the non-alcoholic beers from Rittmayer are not only characterized by the lack of revolutions: The brewers have chosen the popular Hallerndorfer Kellerbier as the basis for their alcohol-free beer The Franconian classic impresses with its fine variety of malts and its down-to-earth and balanced taste The alcohol-free Kellerbier is basically brewed in the same way as the alcoholic one, but the fermentation is stopped before the yeast can produce alcohol This process results in a fine residual sweetness remaining in the beer The alcohol-free beer specialty is refined with an extra portion of hops: Rittmayer's alcohol-free beer is cold-hopped with the aroma-intensive Cascade hop variety

The result of this process is a beer with strong aromas of sun-ripened grain and spicy yeast that is a pleasure to drink The taste of the beer delights with a pleasant tartness, tangy citrus freshness and full-bodied malt tones that harmonize wonderfully with the notes of green hops
