The small family-owned company Brinley Gold Rum was formed in 1986, with Bob Brinley as chairman, and the company remains in family hands to this day. Zach Brinley, Bob's son, unceremoniously hung up his job on Wall Street in 2002 to take the fortunes of the distillery into his own hands.

Today, the creations are internationally known and popular with die-hard rum fans and newcomers alike.
