The name "Grapea" comes from grape & peach.
The cultivation of the red vineyard peach, also called Moselle vineyard peach, has a long tradition in our region. Its origins can be traced back to China, where the fruit has been known as "Sing" for over 4000€ years.
During Roman times, the fruit found its way to us together with the grapevine via Persia and Greece.
