Antigua Distillery
1929 schlossen sich acht lokale Geschäftsleute, hauptsächlich Rumladenbesitzer, zusammen, um die Rumproduktion zu kontrollieren, und gründeten 1932 die Antigua Distillery Limited (ADL). ADL, benannt nach ihrem Heimatland Antigua, verdeutlicht durch ihren Namen ihre führende Stellung. Als der einzige aktive Hersteller von Antigua Rum trägt ADL eine große Verantwortung und konkurriert mit ihren authentischen Qualitätsprodukten erfolgreich mit anderen karibischen Herstellern. Der erste Rum wurde in der 30er Jahren an lokale Händler verkauft, die ihn unter eigenen Marken wie Red Cock und Bolanda abfüllten. 1947 führte ADL den Cavalier Muscovado Rum ein, später gefolgt von Cavalier Antigua Rum. 1994 erweiterte ADL ihr Sortiment um den English Harbour Rum, benannt nach Antiguas historischer Marinetradition.
