Jamaica rum, aged for 12 years in barrels from various distilleries in Jamaica, is blended and finished in the "wild Alps" to create the unique MAUND RUM.
For rum aficionados, MAUND RUM is characterized by the rich aroma typical of Jamaica rum, but surprises with its elegance and smooth finish for a rum at 45% vol.

Typical nose, raisins, slightly woody, distinct roasted aromas, a hint of caramel. Balanced aromas on the palate, very spicy, slightly peppery notes, some tobacco, roasted coffee, dried fruit, long finish.
About the "MAUND"® brand:
John Oakley Maund was an English banker and alpinist who gained fame through several first ascents in the Mont Blanc massif in the 19th century. Sir J.O. Maund had stately hunting villas built by Willam Morris on Lake Lucerne and in the Arlberg region, on a foothill of the Ünschenberg Alpe in the Bregenzerwald.
The "Villa Maund" in the Bregenzerwald was leased for many years as a hunting lodge for Crown Prince Wilhelm of Prussia. From 1995 to 2007, Paul Renner, artist and activist, lived in the property. Among the countless illustrious guests were Zaha Hadid, Ferran Adrià, Günter Brus and the many prominent members of the "infamous" Hell Fire Touring Club.
