More information about Drunken Sailor
The Drunken Sailor was the second beer that Timm and Mario brewed in their career as professional brewers. Before that, they had already gained a lot of experience as hobby brewers. When they then turned their passion into a profession and produced their first beers on the professional brewing system of brewer friends, they immediately achieved great success with Foundation 11 and Drunken Sailor. The two firsts are still part of the range today and went down in the brewery's annals as the beers that triggered their breakthrough.
The classic India Pale Ale takes you back to a time when brave sailors crossed the seven seas. The British colonies were spread all over the world and stretched as far as distant India. Because the colonial lords and ladies did not want to do without their beer even in exotic latitudes, the fine English ale from their homeland had to be adapted to the long voyage and shipped to them. A large quantity of hops and extra alcohol made it possible.
With its Drunken Sailor, CREW Republic picks up exactly where it left off and delivers a full-bodied IPA that will wrap you around its finger with its intense hop aroma and the juicy aroma of tropical fruit. A crisp 58 bittering units round off the pleasure.
