The regional edition of our "Gin around the world" series: in addition to the obligatory juniper, this gin features the crete, which grows wild in Schleswig-Holstein. It is usually found on the edges of paths and fields, in the typical Schleswig-Holstein bends. Krete, also known as Haferschlehe, is the so-called "original plum". Its taste is also reminiscent of plums and currants.

Dollerup distillery
In the Dollerup distillery, not far from Flensburg, German whiskey, hand-distilled rhum and gin are produced in addition to brandies and spirits from regional fruit varieties. Sometimes more unusual ingredients end up in the still, such as for our ginger spirit and peanut spirit. With great attention to detail, the distillates are distilled on site and bottled by hand.
