Wir, Kate und Jonny, haben 2019 die North Uist Distillery gegründet, um unseren Traum von einer lebendigen Brennerei auf unserer Heimatinsel zu verwirklichen. Unsere Familien sind seit langem eng mit der Region verbunden und leben von Land und Meer. Wir wollten diese Tradition würdigen und gleichzeitig neue Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten schaffen, mehr Besucher auf die Äußeren Hebriden locken und die Whiskyproduktion in unsere Heimat zurückbringen. Die North Uist Distillery Co. ist tief von unserer wunderschönen Inselumgebung inspiriert. Als begeisterter Surfer war es Jonny wichtig, bei gutem Wellengang eine Pause einlegen und surfen zu gehen.
