The Downpour Sloe and Bramble Gin comes from the North Uist Distillery in Scotland. The family-run distillery produces some of Scotland's finest craft spirits, including the multi-award-winning Downpour Gin line.
For Downpour Sloe and Bramble Gin, sloe berries and uist blackberries are added to Downpour Scottish Dry Gin. This is followed by maturation in bourbon barrels.
The result is a rich and complex sloe gin with a fruity taste. It scores particularly well with its balanced interplay of sloe berries and uist blackberries. The Downpour Sloe and Bramble Gin is bottled at 31.0% vol.

Wir, Kate und Jonny, haben 2019 die North Uist Distillery gegründet, um unseren Traum von einer lebendigen Brennerei auf unserer Heimatinsel zu verwirklichen. Unsere Familien sind seit langem eng mit der Region verbunden und leben von Land und Meer. Wir wollten diese Tradition würdigen und gleichzeitig neue Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten schaffen, mehr Besucher auf die Äußeren Hebriden locken und die Whiskyproduktion in unsere Heimat zurückbringen. Die North Uist Distillery Co. ist tief von unserer wunderschönen Inselumgebung inspiriert. Als begeisterter Surfer war es Jonny wichtig, bei gutem Wellengang eine Pause einlegen und surfen zu gehen. Ich (Kate) liebe es, ins Meer zu springen und im offenen Wasser zu schwimmen – das perfekte Mittel, um den Kopf frei zu bekommen. Unsere Insel und ihre Menschen sind zentral für unser Tun.
