We are a small, traditional family business with a long history. Since the year 1779, generations of our family, including parents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, siblings and other relatives, have been passionately committed to the craft around the apple. Our daily endeavor is to create real value for you.

The continuation of more than 240 years of family tradition is in the hands of Dr. Johanna Höhl-Müller (mother) and her two children. Anna Lenhard, the daughter, takes care of communication and design, while Johannes Seibel, the son, is responsible for production and sales. As the eighth and ninth generations of this Hessian family business, two first-class product lines, DR. HÖHL'S POMP Cuvées and DR. HÖHL'S BioEss Apple Cider Vinegar, form the basis of our livelihood.

Our concern does not only refer to the continuation of our individual history, but also to the legacy of nature: the enchanting, untouched orchards. Some of them have been in our family for several years, and in 2008 they were joined by another meadow with 380 old apple trees. On this ecologically certified property, old varieties such as Goldener Edelapfel, Trierer Weinapfel, Rother Eiserapfel, Champagner-Reinette, Boskop, Speyerling, Bohnapfel and Schafsnase thrive in particular.

Orchard meadows are among the most diverse habitats in Central Europe and are characterized by an impressive number of around 5,000 animal and plant species that are of great importance to the ecosystem. They represent important alternative habitats as well as last refuges for numerous animals.
