More information about OPA
OPA Oli's Pale Ale is fruity, fresh and tart. With 55 IBU/bitter units, it is just right for lovers of tart flavors. The hop varieties Cascade and Lemondrop give the special touch here.
Attention allergy sufferers! Allergens may include: Barley malt / Hops / Yeast
The OPA is divided from the beginning of the spirits, one loves it, the other does not like it at all.
This is certainly also due to the fact that we initially targeted and achieved a full 88 bitter units for our first brews.
PALE ALE WITH ROOTS IN ENGLAND
The success story of Pale Ale began in England in the early 18th century. Ironmaker Abraham Darby developed a new type of furnace that relied on hard coal to produce coke. This type of oven became widespread by the middle of the 19th century and spread rapidly, especially in brewing, because temperatures could now be controlled much more precisely. Brewers were now able to kiln their malt much lighter, or pale. A new beer style competed against the roasted malt porter beers for the favor of beer drinkers.
A bedrock of pale ale history is still sold today. Originally, Bass Pale Ale came from Britain's old brewing capital of Burton-upon-Trent and is based on a recipe from 1777.

Fleuther
Our fleuther micro-brewery is located in Geldern and was founded in 2016. Oliver and Sylvana develop the recipes themselves at their small brew kettles in the brewery. The new beers are brewed on large brewhouses (15 to 45 hl). The beers are unfiltered, brewed with natural and best raw materials. fleuther stands without question regionally for the Lower Rhine with its name and the Lower Rhine head willow in the logo. The success speaks for itself - the beers are also available nationwide and our young brewery is growing steadily. We are organizer, sponsor & supplier of the Tolkien Days (June) and Halloween Party (October) in Geldern-Pont with our beer Brown Ale "1420er Eichental" and the Pils "EINS".
