Maisel and Friends Brewery describes its Pale Ale as a "real board of flavors". And rightly so!
Five flavor-intensive hop varieties provide the hoppy richness in the beer. Amarillo is responsible for the range of aromas, and the Herkules variety gives the beer its fantastic bitterness. Chinook, Simcoe and Citra also contribute, making the Pale Ale a true hop bomb.
Both in smell and taste, the Pale Ale from Maisel & Friends offers the beer connoisseur a unique variety of aromas. As soon as you open the bottle, you notice the strong aroma of hops, which is complemented by citrus and grapefruit aromas.
In the glass, the Pale Ale impresses with a strong amber appearance along with a firm, medium-porous head. The initial aroma is predominantly citrusy. The lemony freshness is complemented by a fine, malty honey sweetness. Juicy peach and a hint of creamy caramel elegantly complement the aroma interplay. An unobtrusive bitter note rounds off the finish perfectly. Overall, a harmonious, aromatic veil of fruit and bitterness lingers on the tongue.
After the taste test, we can only confirm the description "real board of flavors". Maisel and Friends' Pale Ale is definitely a hop explosion that is neither too bitter nor too sweet. Simply perfect.
