To celebrate their long-standing friendship, the two breweries Freigeist Bierkultur and Stillwater Artisanal started brewing beer together at some point The series bears the French term for "friends" and is now in its fifth round

Amis Volume 5 is a gose that comes in chic Champager bottles The old German beer style has been catapulted into the present day with a whole range of unusual ingredients and refined with two years of maturation in oak barrels The beer brewed in collaboration contains grape juice, rosemary, ginger and orange peel in addition to the usual raw materials This aromatic blend gives the sour beer a complex, exciting aroma, while the barrel maturation provides soft oak notes and a fine depth

The exquisite Gose flows into the glass in shimmering copper amber gold A crown of creamy, white foam sits atop the cloudy body, which is fed by lively carbon dioxide and has a seductive aroma of tart grapes, green apple and wine barrel The first sip reveals a subtly composed beer, that harmonizes the spicy herbal notes of rosemary with the fruity acidity of white wine and the tangy spiciness of ginger Maturation in oak barrels enriches the blend with dry wood notes and a hint of vanilla
