More information about Gin wheat
Even though this beer has "wheat" in its title, you're not actually allowed to call it that - at least not if you're within the strict framework of the Bavarian Purity Law However, that doesn't bother the plucky ladies from Gebrouwen door Vrouwen: Tessel, Do and their team of beer-loving women have created a delicious Wit with Gin Weizen, which adds a few cheeky herbs to the classic Wit character
The Belgian Wit is traditionally made with orange peel and coriander The brewers have found the perfect flavor pairing and given the Wit a fresh twist with a good portion of juniper Three kinds of malt give the beer a wonderfully creamy texture and make the Weizen a velvety beer specialty
The beer, refined with notes of gin, presents itself in a yeasty golden hue in the glass and forms a volatile head that exudes a fine aroma of oven-fresh brioche, candied orange peel, ripe banana and spices, ripe banana and spices The first sip reveals a powerful body with a creamy mouthfeel and a wide range of harmonious flavor nuances Soft malt notes spread across the palate and deliver notes of sweet yeast dough and sun-ripened grain Fruity notes of banana and juicy orange are added and form a palatable combination with the aromas of coriander, yeast and clove
This gin wheat is the perfect refreshment for between meals!
