More information about Zonnig Zeewit
As you know, we have a soft spot for brews that not only taste good, but also do good. That's why we were thrilled when the Dutch brewery Gebrouwen Door Vrouwen launched its latest creation on the market. Their Zonnig Zeewit is an unconventional wheat beer that was created in partnership with the Seaweed Farmers and supports their work with ten cents per can sold. The Seaweed Farm ers are an Amsterdam-based organization that produces organic fertilizer and bioplastics from algae. With their work, they want to highlight the value of algae for the circular economy and raise awareness of marine plants. Cultivating algae removes Co2 from the atmosphere and provides a habitat for marine animals and birds. We are delighted that our and your beer consumption can help this worthy project!
The brewers behind Zonnig Zeewit prove that algae are not only incredibly useful and versatile. Their brew contains a good portion of it: the sea vegetables enrich the aroma of orange peel and other citrus notes as well as light malt with mineral, subtly salty undertones.
Thanks to its gentle 3.8% alcohol content, you can definitely enjoy more than one can and support the work of the Seaweed Farmers in the long term. Cheers to our oceans and their amazing fruits!
