More information about Giovannoni Vermouth Seco

Giovannoni vermouth is the new creation of Argentina's most famous mixologist, Renato "Tato" Giovannoni, owner and bar manager of Bar Florería Atlantico in Buenos Aires, which is regularly confirmed as the best bar in Latin America and voted one of the 50 best bars in the world by the Drinks International expert jury.

After the Principe de los Apostoles Mate Gin, with which he had already captured the most typical flavors of Argentina in a spirit, vermouth was the clear next step to have a perfect mixing partner for cocktails.

As the son of Italian immigrants to Argentina, the aperitivo culture is also part of "Tato" and so the vermouth is not only perfect for mixing with the Apóstoles gin, but also simply pure and on ice as an aperitif - the appetizing glass before a meal.

Giovannoni Vermouth Seco is made from a white wine made from Torrontés grapes, which is flavored with the obligatory wormwood herb (Artemisia absinthium) and other indigenous herbs and spices. Incidentally, the Torrontés grapes are selected by the Argentinian star winemaker Matías Michelini.

This first version only has 23.3g of residual sweetness per liter, making it "extra dry" and a real rarity in the market segment, where sugar content is often not specified at all and values of well over 150g per liter are not uncommon. As the herbs and spices are only filtered out of the vermouth mechanically, the vermouth is slightly cloudy.

If you do not drink the bottle immediately after opening, you should store it in a cool, dark place to preserve the aroma and taste as much as possible.
