Vintage 2020 is a fine specialty beer from Hanscraft & Co. The vintage beer is an imperial stout with a strong roasted aroma and strong character.
The top-fermented strong beer is brewed with a medley of malts that are also used to make whiskey. The second thing that whiskey and the Vintage Edition have in common is storage: Hanscraft's Vintage 2020 has the opportunity to mature extensively in the fermentation cellar after the brewing process has been completed. The result of this effort is a wonderfully smooth, full-bodied beer with a wonderful warmth and a wide range of coffee and chocolate notes. With an incredible 9% alcohol content, this strong beer will warm your body and soul even on the coldest of winter days.
Vintage 2020 flows into the glass in the darkest shade of mahogany and is crowned with a handful of white foam. A tantalizing aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, chocolate and ripe red fruit wafts into the nose and whets the appetite for the first sip. The first sip presents an oily texture and a whole cornucopia of powerful aromas: a roasted and bitter coffee note caresses the palate, melt-in-the-mouth chocolate and a hint of liquorice elegantly round off the interplay of aromas.
Vintage 2020 from Hanscraft & Co. is incredibly drinkable despite its strong 9.0% alcohol content. A recommendation for anyone who likes dark, complex beers.
