More information about Held Bräu Hell
Held Bräu is a small family brewery in the heart of Franconian Switzerland and the origin of the finest Franconian beers. The labels are adorned with a stylized knight on a green background: a hero in black armour, armed with a golden sword and shield, is emblazoned on the plaque surrounded by golden ears of corn and provides information about the brewery's sense of tradition and Franconian roots. Held Bräu has been owned by the Polster family for more than 300 years and the brewers have been fine-tuning their recipes for just as long. The beers are absolute classics and you can taste the Polsters' centuries of tradition, craftsmanship and dedication in every sip.
An absolute favorite in the range is the Helle. With its Franconian character, the Helle goes wonderfully with hearty snacks, hearty cuisine and oven-fresh bread, but it also tastes wonderful without accompaniment.
The Helle flows into the glass in crystal-clear gold and is adorned with a stately crown of white, dense-pored foam. A potpourri of sun-kissed grain, fragrant hay, floral hops and freshly mown grass rises from the fluffy plaster. A tantalizing first impression that leads elegantly to the first sip. In terms of taste, the pale ale delights with a dry character and a wealth of delicious aromas: crisp malt meets light-footed hops that taste both floral and herbal.
